ANNIE E. TISCHHAUSER
Annie Tischhauser, 77, of rural Abilene died Friday, Aug 12, 1988, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Born to Harrison W. and Daisy Huitt Hosie on Feb. 7, 1911, in rural Abilene, she attended the Purdy School and was graduated from the Abilene High School in 1933.
On Feb. 21, 1934, Annie was united in marriage to Marvin H. Tischhauser and they lived and farmed all their married life in the Elmo Community. Marvin preceded her in death in 1978.
Annie was a member of the New Basel United Church of Christ, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Hugonauts (sp?) Society, and a 4-H leader of many years.
She is survived by one son, Lynn of rural Abilene; two brothers, Jim Hosie of Manhattan, and Dean Hosie of Abilene; and one sister, Velma Gordon of Durham. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Richard, and one sister, Bertha Steele.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at the New Basel United Church of Christ. The Rev. Charles Norman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Martin funeral Home until 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
