Surnames: tipa/tiparuela?
I'm looking for the tipa family linage that came from romania either just before or during the time (1947) that the communist republic came into power. I'm not sure but I've been told that tipa was shortened from the original spelling possibly tiparuela. Any one that has proof positive information please contact me at apitlav@aol.com

I'm part of a Tipa family that came from Romania and my grandmother told me that the name was shortened from something that might be spelled like that. I would like to know what you've found an if it's different than what I know.
