I am trying to trace some of my late father's family. I have never met any of his relatives so I know very little of the family history. My dad's name was James Tinney. He was born in Queen St, Govan, Glasgow in Scotland on the 24th March 1926. His parents were George John Tinney and Elizabeth Charlotte Tinney ms Matheson. They married at the Govan parish church in Glasgow on 3rd March 1920.
According to certificates George Tinney worked on the shipyards and Elizabeth Tinney was a domestic servant. They also had a called Elizabeth Mary Sweeney Tinney who was born on the 14th December, 1920 at the Hazel Wood maternity hospital in Glasgow. I now believe this family of Mathesons and Tinneys lived in Govan for some time during the 1920s?

My dad's sister married William Edward Pritchard on the 7th January, 1956 at St. Anthoney's church in Glasgow. They both lived at Ruthlin St, Glasgow during the 1950s and may have had children.

Does anybody know the family or maybe be related in any way? If so then I would be very grateful to hear from you so that I may find out more about my other family and my roots.
