Confederate Mound Monument to the 6,000 killed in 1 of the biggest mass graves in the UD jodyptu. It was dedicated by a Confederate memorial association & the UDC.

Great great uncle pvt. William Jackson Tims name inscribed on Confederate Mound Monument in South Chicago's Oak Wood Cemetery.
He was 1 of at least 8,000 Southern citizens to die from diseases of exposure, malnutrition, or torture in Chicago between 1862-1865.
