Have you had any contact re Timbeys?
My mother was a Timbey and I have been researching the family for a couple of years. There seems to have been 2 branches of the family , one John Timbey and his brother Robert whose father was also John. James Carrie and Agnes were related to the John Timbey (son) while my side belonged to Robert Timbey. My Grandfather John Cecil was Grandson to Robert. He had six brothers and sisters. The other branch had 7 children I think and I have traced a few of them.
Any info. you have would be gratefully received and any help I could supply likewise.
Hope to make contact
Debbie

Hi
I would take it from your info that you are in Australia. Annie Timbey (married Edmund Collins) was a sister of my Greatgrandfather John. I have been in contact with Margaret Murray in Australia also related through the Collins/ Timbey family. I would love to share with you any info i have which might be relevent to you. My mother still lives in Belfast. i live in England but visit her often. The Timbey name will die out directly soon, my Uncle David is the last direct Timbey and he is in his 70s. My brother and nephew both have Timbey as middle names.
Hope to hear from you soon
Debbie

Hi, yes I am in australia, Annie Timbey is my great great grandmother, her daughter Dorris Collins moved to Australia where she got married, one of her daughters is my nan Hilda who also has timber for a middle name.
Mum and dad went to Belfast 2 years ago to where Doris grew up and went to school. It's sad to hear that the name will be finishing up.
