I am looking on behalf of my father, for his relatives, who left Belfast in the 1920's...james /agnes/carrie Timbey. these are all relatives of mine and my father's, and he would like to make contact with them if there are any of that branch of the family left.

My mother was a Timbey, and has two brothers, but there are no Timbey children. I have researched Timbeys in Belfast where my family live, my great-great-great -grandfather was John Timbey, a shoe maker. He had a number of children one of whom may be related to you. Will try and help if contacted.

Pam, My grandmother was Carrie Timbey, whose brother and sister were James and Agnes. They came from Belfast in the 1920's and were the children of Samuel James and Elizabeth Watterson. I believe they may be the ones that your father is looking for. My mother, Ann Marie, is Carrie's third child. Please ask your father about this as I feel we may be related. Marie

I am the granddaughter of Carrie (Caroline) Timbey. Agnes & James were my great Aunt & Uncle. Who was your father? My great grandfather was Samuel James Timbey. I have discovered through research that He was one of many brothers and sisters who remianed in Belfast.

Pam, I found a later post that you sent to Debbie Flint (my distant cousin we have determined). You stated that your father is William Fairburn Rowan. I feel there must be a connection as my grandmother Carrie's middle name was Fairburn. And I beleive my great grandfather Samuel James Timbey had a brother William Fairburn Timbey. Mom and I assumed that is where Grandma Carrie's middle name came from. My Mom also remembers a "Uncle Billy" (could be William) that came to visit from Ireland when she was a small child. I know it has many years since you originally made this post but I am hoping you get my message.

My mother's maiden name was Timbey. She is one of 9 children (2 boys 7 girls). The eldest boy was William Timbey. My mother was born in 1919 and is one of the middle children. I know that she had an aunt (I think her name was Lucy) in Ireland who owned a pig farm but I am not sure about other relatives. If you have any other information, I would be very grateful.
Children's names were: William, Agnes, Patricia, Kathleen, Olive, Audrey, Alberta, Caroline, Bob

Sharon I don't know if you have heard about me from your Aunt Betty (Caroline) or her son Keith but I have a lot of info regarding your family who were on a branch parallel to my mother's Timbey family, our greatgreatgrandfathers were i think brothers or perhaps uncle and nephew. Please contact me for more. Deborah
