Any news would be welcome. Aunty Betty (Caroline), my mother's sister is now the eldest member of their family - she is 89. One of her other sisters, Audrey, has tried to find out information regarding the family and I always look up the name in what ever country I happen to be in.

Please let me know what information you have.

Regards

Sharon

Good to hear from you. I believe you are Olive's daughter, but I know little else of your family. I spoke to Betty a week ago and she mentioned that she had had her 80th birthday last year and Audrey's birthday last week was her 83rd. I believe that they are the youngest children of William John Timbey and Caroline nee Thorpe. Caroline, her husband John, son Keith and Audrey visited Belfast for the first time in July 2006, and I returned home to show them round - including the cemetery where your Greatgrandparents and some of their 12 children are buried, and the street where they lived for many years - the house now demolished but a couple of houses remain.
If you would like to make contact through personal e-mail reply to that effect and I will pass on my address.

my e-mail is sharonfrench3@yahoo.co.uk

I am not sure if Audrey knows about this but she is in contact with Betty so I shall ask her. I shall be visiting my mother this weekend but unfortunately, she is now very forgetful and cannot remember names etc. However, if you have any photographs of the family, I would be grateful as mum has a digital photoframe and this helps with her memory.

As an additional bit of info, if you look at the web site relating to The Hood, a ship that was sunk during the second world war, you will find a photo of my mother's cousin who was killed on board when the ship sunk. Just another bit of history.

Sharon
