My husband's ancester also came to Texas from Germany in the fall of 1859. We have his name as Carl Wilhelm Theodore Timaeus. We have been told that two brothers came over together, but we do not have the name of the second brother. Carl brought with him a son, Carl Charles Henry Timaeus, who married Henriette Pohl in on Oct 9,1883. I know some of the family lived in Temple. I would like to correspond with you and see if we can fill in some gaps.

Sorry, Deb! I forgot to leave my email address. I believe your grandmother may have been the sister of Carl, who was also known as Charles, actually the half sister, since I've been told his mother died in route to America, but his father soon married again. I know that there was a daughter by this second wife.

I would love to know what you know about the German connections to the Timaeus family. My son is currently living in Germany and is interested in the family there.

Re: the Timaeus family anywhere
Temple Texas. I don't have much for my husbands family, his father was Roy Curtis Timaeus, son of John Lee Timaeus & wife Lillian Engeles, son of Carl Charles Henry Timaeus & wife Henriette (Gette) Pohl, son of Carl Wilhelm Theodore Timaeus & wife Elise (maybe) no last name who came to the US around 1860

Jean, from Angleton? I'm Eric's wife. I'm hunting for info on his side of the family, if you have anything I'd love to get it since I don't very much. Thanks Tonya Timaeus trt64@comcast.net

Hello Carol I also attended the 1986 reunion with my mother. We had a wonderful time, high light of our lives. There is web site www.findagrave.com I have put some Timeus up there, those buried in Shelby county Ohio.
