My name is Christopher Charles Tillman. Jeremiah was my GGGG Grandfather. He is buried at the Hopewell Baptist Church In Colquitt Co. GA. I stood over the grave. The head stone states that he was born Nov.16 1776 and died Dec.14 1855. Then it was known as Lowndes Co. The is a book hand written in a library In Moultrie GA. That has been added to over the years. You have put a wrench in my research. The book says he was born in Chatham Co. NC. That's where I started looking for his father. Which from a few searches on the Internet was said to be Joshua Tilghman. I'm now lost. If you have any new information please respond here.
