Hi Rozelle,

I am replying from Australia. Unfortunately I have no information regarding Rose Rootsey- However, as Rootsey is an unusual name I thought you may be a distant cousin with regard to another Charles Rootsey that came to Australia as a convict in 1828. He is my great, great, great grandfather. Information about his trial is registered at the 'old bailey' in London (quite interesting) If you are related to him it would be great to know more. My grandfather was a Rootsey. I have info about his line back to the convict Charles if you are interested. I would love to find out information about this convict Charles Rootsey's parents etc.

Thank you,

I never thought such an unusual name as Rootsey would have so many branches in England WOW. Good luck in your endeavours hope you find what you are looking for.

By the way our Charles Rootsey was transported in 1828 he was born about 1811 ( he was 17 when transported ) Thanks again and good luck.
