I am looking for general information about my family, for wherever and whenever. I specifically want to find out about Tilbrooks in the East End of London in the 1860s, who came from Cambridgeshire.

You posted the query many years ago, so I don't know if you're still there, or what progress you've made, but here goes:

Richard TILBROOK and Mary BARKER were married 25 August 1768 at Bartlow, Cambridgeshire.

Their son, Samuel TILBROOK, was baptised 8 January 1769 at Castle Camps, Cambridegeshire, died 1827, aged 59 years, buried 25 February 1827. He married 28 October 1793 at West Wickham, Cambridgeshire, to Ann LORD.

Samuel & Ann's son, Robert TILBROOK, was baptised 26 April 1795 at Castle Camps, Cambridgeshire, and died 10 April 1872 aged 77, at Helions Bumpstead, Essex. He married Millia (AKA Millicent, Amelia) HUNNIBAL at Helions Bumpstead on 3 August 1794. Millia's parents were James and Ann HUNNIBAL.

He and Millia had nine children:
Charles, bapt 1817 at Helions Bumpstead (married Harriet READER, went to South Australia in 1855);
Harriet, bapt 1819 at HB (my ancestor -- married John COOPER, went to South Australia in 1859);
Stephen, bapt 1921 (married Eliza COCK);
Mary Ann, bapt 1824, died aged two month;
Sarah Ann, bapt 1825;
Samuel, bapt 1827;
William, bapt 1830 (married Anna COOTE, went to South Australia in 1855);
Emma, bapt 1933, died aged 23 in 1856, buried HB;
Eliza, bapt 1838 (married Henry WATSON).

As you see, I have no idea of what happened to Sarah Ann or Samuel.

Re your reply to David Tilbrook.
I am Davids father and my independent research led me to Robert and Millia. I can add something ( not fully verified) that Samuel moved to London where he married Matilda and had at least one son Frederick who was born in Middlesex 1871. He married Mary Emma Arscott and had five children, Peggy Wilson (ne Tilbrook) (deceased in Australia), Mary Clarke (ne Tilbrook) (deceased in Thame UK), Frank (deceased in Canada), Wilfred Arscott Tilbrook ( my own father and deceased in Newcastle upon Tyne UK) and Roger (deceased in NewZealand)

I have a brother (Roger William) living in USA. I have two sons David living in Safron Walden UK with two sons William and Joseph and my younger son Robin living in Winchester UK with a daughter Ayla.

My brother Roger had four children Alex (deceased), Hillary (two children), Iain (two children) and Nick (two children plus two adoptees). I need Roger's help with the names dates etc.

I find it amusing that David is now living only 10 miles from his ancestral home where he probably has distant relatives. We ought to look them up sometime.
best regards
