Hi,
I believe William John (b. 1872/73) was brother to Martha Ann who married John Robinson (my ancestor).
I have William and Carolyn's three children (Hermus Clifford, Barbara May and Harold Ivan)from 1911 Census information. Isabella is listed as a widow and living with William John in both 1901 and 1911 in Eastnor. The John Robinson family was living close by in Eastnor in these censuses.

Isabella Cartwright was a sister to John Cartwright, who was the second husband of Catherine McNevin Robinson (John Robinson's mother and my gggm).

I have not been able to "find" a Cartwright contact but keep the information in my database in hopes of hearing from one soon.

William John and Carolyn are buried in Eastnor but I can find no trace of Isabella under either Cartwright or Tigert.
What is your connection to this family?
Diana

Finally someone from the family tree.
Some info on Cartwrights..A Mr. Amos Andrews of Godrich Ont., had the family bible. There were no dates, but some information re the family. My mother's contact, Dorthy Baker of Goderish, was going to the Dungannon Cemetery to locate the John Cartwright tombstone.
The person who has done the Tigert family tree, is Dorothy Baker, 190 Hincks street, Goderich Ont.
From what I can gather, Isabella Cartwright Tigert, died in a sanitorium in London and we cannot locate anything on her death or where buried.
Your info on the Tigert family is correct, except, it is Barbara Isabelle Mae. My mother was born 12/01/12, Jessie Leona. She died in 2003. Also Seaman Roy and Helen Madge (Wright), who is still living in Meaford.
I hope this has shed some light on this part of the tree. Let's keep in touch. Sheila

Hi Sheila,
OCFA lists three Isabella Cartwright burials - one in Halton and two in Wentworth. I looked up TB sanitoriums in Ontario and there seemed to have been two in London Ontario. Maybe we can ask for a cemetary lookup for these three Isabellas or has this already been done?

Is Dorothy able to send information electronically?
I thought it was likely Barbara Isabella when I saw Barbara I. May on one of the Census documents.

So - if I have interpreted your message - there are three more children for William John and Carolyn - Jessie, Seaman Roy and Helen?
Thanks for your prompt reply,
Diana

Barbara Isabelle Mae, correct spelling, married Alexander Hepburn.
William John, known as John Tigert, married to Caroline Mae, known as Mae (Duke) Tigert.

Think I erred in reference to sanitorium, it should have been aslylum....I feel her condition probably would today have been called bi-polar. No drugs to treat the condition in the early nineteen hundreds. I only have hearsay from my mother many years ago about her Grandmother and the problems associated. My grandfather had similar problems, as does my aunt, who now is controlled with medication.

Hi My name is William Tigert and distantly related. I do know that the Cartwright that you are searching for was married to a William Tigert who was a half brother to my great great grandfather. I believe that she was buried in Walkerton, Bruce County Ontario by the county as a pauper. I did hear this from both my father and by one of her direct decendants from Lions Head.

I hope that this is some assistance

Hi not sure if this is getting where I need it to go, but Isabelle Cartwright was buried in Walkerton, county of Bruce as a pauper, in her advanced age she wandered the county side and was buried as an indigent.

I am distantly related her husband was a half brother to my great great grandfather Joseph.
