Looking for info on Henry Harmon Tygart born 1851 in Ohio -- mother was Ann Kettlewell and father was Mr. Tygart. Do you have Henry in your line? Willing to share -- have much from Henry on down but cannot seem to find anything about his father.

Wilson Tigard after whom Tigard Oregon was named was the brother of my Grandfather Albert Tigard. Albert had two children, Mamie Edna (my mother) and Inez. Mamie passed at the age of 95 in Idaho this year. Inez passed around 1956.

My Granny Permelia E. Jenkins lived in Caddo,Ok--She had lived in Texas w/a sister and husband, Burl Tigert(sp.) before she married James J. Jenkins, they moved to Caney around 1900. Her sister and Burl had a son, Haskell, and I think a d. Precious Johnson. Are any of these ancestors of mine in your history? Thanks---- Mel Doucet -- meldou@msn.com

Classification: Query
Surnames: Tigard Gervais McAllister Hart Wallace
I've recently learned that one of the sons of Andrew Jackson Tigard and Sarah Jane Edwards Tigard married Mary Jane Gervais. Mary Jane was born a McAllister, daughter of Lt. James Benton McAllister the first white guy killed in the indian war in 1855. The son's name was James Monroe Tigard and he shows up on the 1900 census living with his mother and two apparent twin daughters, age 17. I don't know if these daughters were Mary Jane's children but I'd sure like to find out. I don't what became of Mary Jane or James Monroe Tigard for that matter. Gail, are you out there?
