Dirtthrower is the last name of my Grandfather's Mother. Her name was Susan Dirtthrower(Dirtpott). On our family tree it shows Dirtthrower Tiger(Tyger)I am trying to figure out where I fit in. Her father's name was Robin Dirtpott don't know if they changed the name from Dirtthrower to Dirtpott or if they just spelled it different everytime they wrote it down. Even if we find out we are not related hope that we can still e-mail each other just to see what we found out. Thanks for your interest and hopefully we will find out if we are related.

Glad to hear from you. Yes, please do e-mail me @ shan4733@penn.com. I am in PA; where are you? I have been looking through my stuff, and can see several places where Tiger's/Tyger's went in all geographical directions and were eventually lost to my relative who was keeping track of things. Do you know if you have any ancestor who started in NJ? Hopefully, we can find a mutual starting place. I'm looking forward to it! Hope to hear from you.

Kathryn. I hope this reaches you. I became interested in Dirtthrower Tiger, Captain, Company I in the 2nd Indian Home Guard regiment, while researching a couple of Cherokee members of the regiment (Tadpole and Askwater). I see you are Cherokee from your "Trottingwolf" name. Tiger is a distinctly Creek or Seminole surname. Of course there was intermarriage between the tribes and browsing the roster of Co. I, 2nd IHG I see a mixture of Cherokee and Creek/Seminole surnames. It was not typical to have tribes mixed in the companies due in part to the language difference. I'm interested in any insight you may have on Dirtthrower Tiger and his company.

We are from Richard Dirtpot, uncle of Robin. They are listed as Pann on the rolls. It took me forever to find them. Check them out on footnote.

I have a Mollie Tiger, Creek Native American, on my mother's side of the family. They were from the Sapulpa, Oklahoma area. Mom was born in Sapulpa March 16, 1925 and died in Southampton, Massachusetts on Feb. 26, 2006. I have checked at www.AccessGenealogy.com on their Dawes Final Rolls for a Mollie Tiger but now that I think about it, she could have died before the Final Rolls. Have you heard or seen a Mollie Tiger anywhere? I have a huge Family Tree at Ancestry with owner listed as BlondiNativeAme3.
Thanks
