Thank you so much for your reply. I have been at a loss with our French Canadian research, just not knowing HOW to research there.
I have other children for Phileas and Anastasie: an unnamed male b 6 Oct., 1876 in Town of Canton,Hartford County, CT; Mary Ella b 26 Oct., 1873 (same); Delia, b 12 May, 1872 (same) I have copies of these birth cert. I also have one from the same place for a child, Philias, son of Philias T. and Mary Louise Woods.
From 1880 census (CT) their family group is Philias, Anastasia, Isadore (who is wrongly listed as a daughter), Mary, Emma, Ella, Irving(?)
An interesting thing concerning the birth date of Pierre Hormidas, 06/29/ 1862, is that it is the same birth date I have for their son Isadore P. (twins?)
Isadore was a very prominant man in Marshfield, Wood Co., WI. He died there. He was married and had 2 adopted daughters, which I think he may have adopted because they were family, somehow.
They had more children as when Anastasia gave birth in Oct. 1876, it was her 10th child.
