If anyone is interested the name originated in Cornwall in England (u.k) which is where my grandfather came from. It is a rare name in the uk anyway so i would be interested in any information on how the name came to the USA. Most Tiddy's still live in cornwall and apart from my family which lives in oxfordshire the only other ones are in London. Hope thies helps!!

I'm a trying to follow through on my strand of the Tiddy family that arrived from Cornwall in Australia in about 1845. They were led by Martin and Grace Tiddy and originated from Perranaworthal. Is there anyone working with this line.

I have a Susan Tiddy who was a witness at my ggg grandparents wedding Robert Harrison (b:1818 Hampshire) and Elizabeth Reynolds (b:1821 Dover) which took place 12.09.1841 in Pembroke, Wales. I have been unable to establish if she was a relative or just a friend. The other witness was John Jackett. Would love to hear if you have any of these names in your research.
