I am trying to trace any information about my GT GT GT GT Uncle, Roger Doughty-Tichborne, who was shipwrecked in the 1850s. Please get in touch if you know anything.

There is a book entitled "The Tichborne Imposter" by Geddes MacGregor. It was published in 1957. The United States Library of Congress Card Number is 57-11952. Also try almost any encyclopedia in your local library. Look under Tichborne Claimant.
You'll be disappointed. It was established during the English trials that Roger Tichborne did not have any sons. The Tichborne claimant was found to be an imposter.

The posthumous son of Rodger Tichborne's younger brother inherited everything.

I own a book entitled THE TICHBORNE CLAIMANT whose author is Douglas Woodruff published by Farrar,Strauss and Cudahy, New York in 1957. It has the same information as the book which you mentionedf but is subtitled "A Victgorian Mystery" I have no call numbers in the US as my copy states made and printed in Great Britain. I am a decendent of the Tichborne family.
