I am looking for any information on my Greatgrandfather Francis Tichborne who married Susannah Helmore about 1870 in Corunna,USA. Also if they had any children before they immigrated to Australia.
I don't know any dates other then the year they were married. Susannah was only 17yrs old and he approx 27yrs old.
I have no other infomation of their previous lives or families.

I am a direct decendent of the Tichborne family. My Grandfather was James Tichborne of Mt Vernon NY USA. He had a twin brother(I don't know his name) who apparently stayed in Canada after they had immigrated from ?Great Britain. I had an aunt anme Frances, could be she was named for James's twin.

My g. aunt Ida Gillis b. 1867 (canada) married a William Tichborne of Toronto Canada January 1, 1890 at home of John Gillis in Middleton. Ida’s father’s name was John Gillis. I do know they made trips to NY and Boston. This information could be of some assistance to you, not sure if there is a connection. This information was found on the Norfolk Historical Society web site http://www.nornet.on.ca or http://www.norfolklore.com

Hi, I saw your post and it looks like your great aunt Ida Gillis was married to the brother of my great grand father. He was John Henry Tichborne, born 1875, brother of William. John Henry went from Canada to Australia, also to Ploesti in Romania where he drilled well, both for oil and for artesian water in Australia. My father was born there but moved to England after ww2 when he married my mother.
For more info on our family see www.tichborne.org

Do you know how I can get a copy of my great grandfathers birth, marriage and or death certificates online from Canada?

All the best
Caroline

Thanks for your reply -we are probably related but I didn't recognize your infomation. My Grandfather was James M.Tichborne enigrated to NYC. He had a twin brother who stayed in Canada and I have no information on the brother. I saw a posting for family "Lyle"from my cousin Suzanne Moberg but I could not make the connection with her and I was hoping your reply was something to do with that message board. I wish you luck filtering through the generations - the name of Tichborne is unusual but of course very well known in England and Austrailia. Feel free to contact me if anything further develops!
