Neville Lynn Tibbet Padfield 1936 - 2007 Neville Lynn Padfield (70) was born on June 1, 1936, in Bakersfield, CA. Mrs. Padfield passed away on May 28, 2007, in her Long Beach home with her husband and daughters at her side. She is survived by her loving husband, Leslie C. Padfield; daughters, Kristiane Jones and Shelly Lowe; step daughters, Kathryn Straley, Susan Padfield, and Carol Lucas; and her beloved grandchildren, Dustin, Sean, Laura, Kelly, James, Kristyn, Jillian, Kimmie, Amy, Shannon; as well 3 step-grandchildren, Nick, Martin and Teddy; and 1 Great grandchild, Everett. Lynn was preceded in death by her daughter, Shawna and by her parents; Harry and Neville Ona (Pyles) Tibbet. Lynn's grandparents were Robert M. and Marcia M. Pyles. Mr. Pyles was a pioneer California Oil Man and founder of the R.M. Pyles Boys Camp (1949). The camp, located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains helps economically underprivileged boys. Lynn was a fifth generation native Californian. She attended Longfellow Grammar School, Hughes Middle School, and Long Beach Poly High School. She attended Cal State Long Beach, where she was a member of Alpha Phi! She was a past member of the Long Beach GOP Juniors, a member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary, and was a strong supporter of the RM Pyles Boys Camp. Lynn was awarded recognition with a lifetime membership to the Long Beach Parent Teacher Association for her dedicated years of service. She is also survived by her beloved "Canasta Club" friends, who have been meeting monthly for over 50 years. They are all LB Poly Alumni. She was very active with her Poly High class of 1954 reunion Committee. Services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at The Cal-Heights Methodist Church, 3759 Orange Ave, Long Beach, CA. Internment will be private. A reception immediately following the service, will be held at The Virginia Country Club, 4601 Virginia Road, Long Beach, CA.
