When I was in England 28 years ago I did some research only to discover a lot of Tibbel's. Could it be we're all related.
Checking birth records here in the early 1900's (Ontario) the name was spelled Tibbel, Tibble, Tibbal, Tibbles

My earliest Thomas Tibbal b. abt 1575 and was born and buried in Ellesborough, Buckingham,England. Thomas Tibbals Jr. b.June 27, 1613 in Ellesborough, Buckingham, England. Emmigrated to Connectitcut Colony in Milford, New Haven, CT. Died about April 08, 1703. He had a son Josiah Tibbals b.1648. Josiah had a large family. My ancestor was Ebenezer Tibbals b.Bef. September 18, 1692.Milford, New Haven,CT. Abigail Tibbals was his daughter b. May 07, 1727 married June 13, 1748 to Nathan Sanford of my Sanford line to my grandmother Minnie Sanford Congrove. Maybe we are realated to a much older Tibbals line. I have seen a record that the name may have been originally Tibbald. Kenneth Congrove

Hello,

I've just read your email, and it caught my attention as you mentioned England. I've been casually looking for relatives, descendants etc. for a while however had not had much luck as most of the Tibbals info. relates to the United States - my family line comes from England. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Barb

Just received your message. I must admit I am very guilty of being in a complete stall. Work has taken over my life and I am way behind. I am sorry I have nothing to offer at this time. If I come across anything I will let you know. In the mean time, good luck.
