Hi I know that I have familly in Denmark-
My father is of Danish origin (or so we believe) Anyway he was raised in Denmark by his adoptive parents Andre and Vera Thygesen of Lyngby, Denmark . I would like to find out who his birth mother is or was. He dose not know and aparently dosent want to know. Its not a matter of "abandonning" his parents its a matter of knowing who and where you come from. We (my familly) live in NJ USA and I am absolutely amazed at how many Thygesens I have come accross on the internet I always thought (at least here in America) it was a one of a kind name. Yet I have found , simply by doing a Yahoo search a lot over 200 in fact Thygesens in the US . I also discovered another in NJ even - Imagine that! Anyway just another Thygesen

I am a former NJ resident. I was amazed as well when I found so many Thygesens out there. It is probably one of the most mis-pronounced and misspelled names around.

Hi, Christian,
Do you have a relation to Andre and or Vera Thygesen?
My dad told me his Father was originally from Sweeden. I saw in your email address the spelling is 'on , my dad told me that the on is typical of the Sweedish and the en is Danish. I am also related to Wassmann, Mikael Wassmann is my 1/2 brother and Andre and Vera's grandson. I dont know what his mother's name is at this time.
Camilla.
PS my brother's name is Kristian
