I forgot to mention in my previous message that many Thrap/Thrapp's resided in Zanesville Ohio, where I believe my great grandfather came from when he moved to northern California. I am not familiar with Ohio geography, having lived up here in Northern California all my life. Thrap descendent Robert Tunis and his wife Dorothy still live in Zanesville, and have a lot of Thrap history.

I am looking for any information on Harriet Thrap Sidle who married David Sidle and is buried in Muskingum County Ohio. One thing I need to know is their children's names. I am wondering if they had a daughter named Emma J. If you could give me any help I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

Hi, I am looking for Thrapp's in Ohio, I believe my great-grandparents names were Lucy and Vincent Thrapp. My grandfather, born Robert Thrapp, was adopted after the death of his mother in 1918 or 1919. He was adopted by some relatives with the last name McClure. I would love to know more about the Thrapp family. Please forward an email to me if this story sounds familiar. Thrapp seems like such an uncommon last name so I'm thinking it's possible that we may be related, Also, I think my grandfather had a sister names Anne. Thank you. Laura

How exciting! Anne is my mother, and Vincent is my grandfather. Her half brother is Robert. We are related. We have the entire family tree and some exciting facts about our heritage. Please respond so we can explore our roots.

Please contact me. I have lots of information on the Thrapp family and am happy to share. Your great-grandfather was Joseph Vincent Thrapp (1896-1972). He married Helen McBane 26 May 1917 and later Fern Barnes 24 Nov 1920. Both marriages took place in Coshocton Co. Ohio.

I would like more information on your grandfather, Robert Thrapp.

I hope you and Laura were able to connect.

I'm compiling information on the Thrapp family. I'd like more info on Vincent, his wives, and his children.

We could also compare notes on our Thrapp ancestors.
