Dan:
Lorenzo Jacob Thralls + Ellen Hagan Lorenzo son of Jacob Richard Thralls Eliza Medcalf - This is my line through Jacob's second wife - Ann Matilda Rhodes - Jacob son of Isaac Thralls who migrated to Nelson county KY with MD Catholics - On the Pottinger Rolls its spelled Thrawls - reverts in KY. Isaac son of Richard (1720-1797) and Rebecca Davice of MD. This line has not been connected to the New Englad Thrall line, though several lines did later drop the S, and at least one line went to PA as Thrawl.
Eliza Ann Thralls + John Dunnigan Eliza daughter of Joseph Thralls + Edyth Sara "Sally" Mattingly. Joseph brother of Jacob above. Joseph's original farmhouse in Vigo is now St. Mary's of the Woods college and the Sisters of Providence convent. They have some of the history on their website and they have Jabob, Joseph and another brother Francis complete lines in their archives plus a book which I have not seen titled "Three Centuries of Thralls"
Jonathan Leander Thralls + Christina Susan Hagan John son of Joseph above
The others are all related but I do not have specifics as they are collateral lines and I'm having enough trouble tracking the direct line.
Hope this helps

William, I am interested in learning more about your Isaac Thralls to determine if we might have a connection. My great grand Uncle John Christian Hagan was married to Anna Isodora Alvey (Hardin Co. KY). Anna's parent were Hillary Alvey and Mary Jane Thalls. I believe that Mary Jane's father was Isacc Thalls. Do you have information that would connect these two Isaccs? Information passed down through our family indicates that the John Christian Hagan and Anna Isadora Alvey family had a strong connection with the Catholic sisters at St. Mary's of the Woods. Would like to talk with you more about my Hagan family and others of same surname living in Indiana.

DAN:
Issac had a daughter Mary Ann Thralls (1791-1872) who married Peter Dewitt and later Elijah Middleton.
Mary Jane Thralls is the daughter of Joseph Thralls (Issac was her Grandfather) She was born 1821 in Nelson Co, KY, married Hilary Avery 11 Feb 1840 in St. Mary's, Vigo CO, IN, died3 Oct 1881, Vigo Co.
Joseph Thralls + Edyth Sarah "Sally" Mattingly.
Isaac Thralls + Joan ? Isaac born Prince George Co Md 1765 son of Richard Thralls (1720-1797) + Rebecca Davice
Interesting that Richard Sr was Episcopal. Isaac married Joan, a French Catholic School teacher and converted. He took his family to Nelson Co, Ky with the first immigration of MD catholics to the Pottinger settlements. To my knowledge, Isaac's line is the only catholic line in the family.
Hope this helps.

Matt Thralls, half-brother to Hagan brothers and sisters
William, Thank you for the information. It is very helpful. I am interested in learning more about the children of Iaaca and Joseph Thralls. Can you provide me with this information? Also, do you have any information on a Matt Thralls. I have information suggesting he was a half-brother to a William and James Logan Hagan (b. 1826 near St. Marys', Ky near Lebanon) and sisters Susan and Sarah. James Logan Hagan is thought to have migrated to St. Mary's of the Woods in the early 1840's. He worked there as carpenter and maintaneance man for the Mother Superior Mother Theodore. Matt Thralls may have later moved to Denver.

William thanks for the info. Once you told me Eliza that married John Dunnigan was the daughter of Joseph and Edyth Sarah Mattingly, I found her in my database. I had her listed as Elizabeth and had John's last name spelled Dennigan, so I didn't find them when I looked the first time. I got to many Thralls in my database. Thanks again.

You might be able to help me get all the Hagans that married my Thralls in order. I have: Ellen Hagan(b. 1825) who married Lorenzo Thralls in Vigo County,Indiana on Sept 12, 1948. Susan Hagan who married Jonathon Leander Thralls in Vigo County on Sept. 11, 1843 Priscilla Hagan(b.1801) who married James Thralls in Nelson County,Kentucky on June 15 1823. John Christian Hagan(1851-1921) who married Anna Isadore Alvey(1852-1928)in Vigo County on Feb 6, 1877, who was the daughter of Mary Jane Thralls and Hillery Alvey. John Christian was the son of John Raymond Hagan and Rose Ann Wiseman, right?? There was also a James Hagan living with Priscilla in Vigo county in 1850. Do you know how all these Hagans connect. Dan

John Raymond Hagan family
Dan, John Raymond Hagan is my great grandfather. John Christian Hagan is John Raymond's first son. John Raymond's wife was Rose Ann Wiseman, however in our family Bible she is Rosella. I have a lot of information on the John Raymond Hagan family. Rosella's father was Christian Wiseman (English spelling). I have more on the Wiseman family. Christian Wiseman had four wifes. I also have extension information on the John Christian Hagan/Anna Isadora Alvey family. John Christian's youngest brother was Raymond Thomas Hagan, my grandfather. At this time, I am devoting much of my time to the parents of John Raymond. I know that his father was John Hagan who died August 7, 1838 in Meade County, KY. I believe he had 2 brothers named Henry and William (died ~1830 in Meade Co). I am trying to learn more about them. The father of John Hagan of Meade Co may have also been a John Hagan of Jefferson Co. KY. With reference to some of the other Hagan people you mentioned I know nothing. However, there may be some connections of which I am interested in exploring. The Thralls connection to Anna Alvey is driving this search. Hope to talk to you soon.

Re: Unlinked Indiana Thralls
Dan,
Gracie Thralls who married George A. Keller was the oldest child of Joseph L. Thralls and Mary Ann Hubler. Joseph was a son George R. Thralls and Hestor Ann Pottenger. She was born Aug 21, 1862. Mary Ann died June 10, 1873. Joseph remarried to Nina Burgess on Aug 29, 1883. They moved to Houston, FL in November of 1883, but Gracie and her brother Bert (Hurbert L.), b. aprox 1866 stayed behind. The last I know of Bert is that he moved to Chicago.
Joseph and Mary Ann had two other children: Josephine H. b. September 14, 1864 Mary Ann (May) b. May 10, 1873
Mary Ann is my g-grandmother. I have the family tree from her to the 1960's and from 1960 to present on my immediate family if you want it. Let me know.
