Mrs. Katie L. Thornburg, age 89, of 1220 west Ninth Street, widow of John Thornburg, died Monday morning at the home of a daughter. Mrs. Luther Gregg, in Midland, Mich. She had been ill for approximately two years. Mrs. Thornburg was born in cincinnati, Ohio, but had spent most of her life in Anderson. She was a member of the Cnetral Christian Church.

The body will be brought to the Albright funeral home tomorrow, and friends will be received there after 7 o'clock Thursday evening. Funeral rites will probably be conducted at the Albright establishment Friday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Monroe Schuster, of the Central Christian Church. Burial will be in East Maplewood.

Surviving are one son, Clark Thornburg, of Huntington, W. Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Gregg, at whose home she died, and Miss Bertha Thornburg, of Columbia City; serveral grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
