Searching for any information relating to the ancestors and descendants of David Thomson who died on December 27, 1869.

David was married to Harriet, date unknown. David and Harriet adopted Francis Henry Budd, who was the son of Wesley and Hannah Budd. Hannah and Harriet were sisters... last name was possibly Dunckle or some variation.

Francis Henry Budd took the surname of Thomson, and later became known as "The Swordmaker of the Confederacy" for his craftsmanship and skill at making swords and sabres.
