Hinrich Ludwig Thobaben (My ancestor)
Hello fellow genealogist,
My name is Cordt (kurt) and I have done some research on this gentelman that you are inquiring about. I am a direct decendent of him as I would like to exchange information when possible in the future. Are you related to him in some way or fashion.
I look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
Cordt William Thobaben :)

Re: Hinrich Ludwig Thobaben (My ancestor)
I can't tell you how excited I was to see your posting! I have been without a computer for a year and today was the first opportunity I had to research. Heinriche Ludwig von Thobaben would have been my gg-grandfather. My grandmother was the daughter of his daughter Pauline and Vernon Stevens. I have some information, but not a lot. I know he was a cabinet maker and served with the 5th Ohio Infantry during the Civil War. There is a bit more, including an excerpt from a letter from my grandmother that I could share. Charline

Re: Hinrich Ludwig Thobaben (My ancestor)
Hey all,
I'm a 20 year old from Cleveland, Ohio. Ludwig was my great great great grandfather, his son being Charles (my great great grandfather), whose son was Wilbur (my great grandfather), whose son was my grandfather, Charles Thobaben, who had two sons: Gary and Kermit. My father is Gary, and now here I am =)
I noticed posts you made on other geneology websites as well, and my uncle Kermit made reply to one. We have a quite extensive family tree mapped out, dating back many years on the Thobaben side.
Hope this helped, it's amazing to see so many of us related and intertwined in so many ways.

Re: Hinrich Ludwig Thobaben (My ancestor)
Hi Gary, this reply is pretty late. I have not had much opportunity to do research for quite some time. I really need some help. I got information from another researcher and it seemed to fit but now I seem to be missing something somewhere. If you read this, please e-mail me. Thanks, Charline
