Sue Thias, 74, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, died Tuesday, August 18, 1998. She is survived by her husband, Louis Thias of the family home; daughters, Mary Smith and husband, Bill of Phoenix, AZ, Carol Saavedra of Rio Rancho, and Pam Wilson of Albuquerque; grandsons, Peter S. Landau and wife, Bridgette of Alameda, CA and Jeff Smith and wife, Jennifer of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughters, Linday Bailey and Mary Bailey, both of Albuquerque and Megan Thias of Rio Rancho; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters, all from West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Services will be held Friday, August 21, 1998, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Thursday, August 20, 1998, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Lynda Todd, Kathy Lettiere, and Nita Roush for their love and support.
