I am looking for the ancestry of my gg grandmother, Theresa Louisa Theis. She was born in Trier, Germany/Luxembourg on 3 June 1848 or 1849. She emigrated to the US in 1861 and first settled in Chicago. My great-grandmother was born in Chicago in 1864, Margaret Honvlez, (daughter of Mat Honvlez). I have not been able to figure out what happened to Mat Honvlez either. Theresa married Peter Kongs in Feb of 1871 and moved to Seneca, Nemaha County, Kansas. She spent the rest of her life there. She died on 26 Feb 1926.

I know nothing about her family before her arrival in the US. I don't even know if she came to the US with anyone else. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.
