Well thanks for all of your help, I was able to fill in all kinds of blanks yesterday, and it seems I remember something about Rye, NY.....I know years ago when my Dad was about the age I am now he got interested in our family tree.....and I was not in the least. I wish I had paid attention better now.

One last thought for now: There is a lot of nonsense out there in Theall genealogies. The Theall genealogy in Baird's "History of Rye" is one example which has led many astray and led to much increasing confusion through the years. If you are going to try to more fully construct the early Theall family from what I have given you, feel free to run your findings by me so I can keep you away from the nonsense and confusions.

I would give you more of my time right now, but I am currently swamped with DNA and other genealogical work that requires my full attention.

I don't think there is any direct proof for the identity of the parents of Elisha Theall, but there is a history of the name Elisha in the Theall family of Rye, and New York City. Before I say anything I want to go to the City to check some leads and fill some gaps to get closer to the best possible answer to the question.
