I have come across a Theal family in Westfield Parish, Kings Co., New Brunswick. Some moved to California. Some to British Columbia. What are your names. Mine married in to the Fowler line

Hi Dennis,

My father, Dr Gordon Irvine Theal was born in Grimsby, Ontario. His father and uncles were business men in Grimsby. My father just passed away last December at the age of 92. He said he had ancestors from New York and he also talked about ancestors in the Orkney Islands, Scotland. I think the University in Niagara Falls or Saint Catherines was build on land that once belonged to Theal's and I believe there is a Theal building at the University there. It doesn't really answer you question but may be of some interest. My grandfather is buried in the Grimsby cemetary where there is a gravestone with his name attached as is my grandmother. Best wishe, Daniel.
