I asked for the board, so best I at least post :)

Trying to trace back family roots in Columbus, Ohio for the Theado name.

I understand they were German immigrants, but I have had other info that suggest otherwise. Any help would be appreciated.

I am a Theado from Columbus, Ohio originally. I live in Virginia now. I have the Theado family tree listed back to 1850 something to a Peter Teato, a german carpenter. I even have a picture of his carpentry case.

Using CompuServe in the early 90's I found a family living in a city in Germany that had our family tree back to the 1600's in Greece who's tree ended with Peter in the 1800's.

Our family were mercury miners that moved to Germany when the mercury mines opened up there.

My computer crashed during that time, so I lost track of the family before I could get the info.

Feel free to contact me at my email address if you like.

Hi Brad,

Did you not get my email way back when?

I'm certainly interested in what you have still. I'd be happy to make a gedcom or ftm file for you of it as well for archiving.

Its possible. I get 600 emails a day. If its not one I recognize, I delete them because I just dont have time to read them. If you send to the address listed in this post, I do look at those.
