Barbara (Woy) Manspeaker born 2/4/1802 in PA, died 2/27/1857 Bedford Co., married John Manspeaker 1798-1862. Looking for parents names and siblings. I think her brother may have been John Woy, born abt 1800.

Are you still researching the Thawley family from the Burrsville / Denton area? My GG Grandfather, John Brown was married to two Thawley women. 1st wife, Amy Thawley, daughter of James and Mary Porter Thawley and 2nd wife, Catherine Thawley, daughter of James and Elizabeth Jenkins Thawley. Are they in your family tree?

I have the Thawley family in the US, they name goes back to Thorley. There are thawleys in australia, I do know from my research in England, that they come from Yorkshire area, the name in the US was also thrawley, thoughley, tholow, etc
I am going to look thru my stuff, there was a Thawley in england that I correspnded with, he had something to do with the television industry .

I am researching the Thawleys from West Yorkshire, connected to (I believe) Blacker Grange Farm and from the Barnsley area. My great grandparents were Irvine Thawley (1873-1938) - but I can't find his birth record, only his marriage and death (!mystery!) and Florence Augusta Thawley (nee Hawkins). My grandmother was Muriel Thawley (later O'Hara), Irvine and Augusta's child. I am finding it difficult to connect Irvine to the right Thawley branch...

1943 OBITUARY OF MRS. FRANCIS ALTLAND THAWLEY

Mrs Francis Altland Thawley, 55, wife of Addison Thompson Thawley, owners of the Thawley Hotel at Rehoboth Beach, died in the Beebe Hospital here yesterday following a heart attack. She was a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and had been living at the resort for the past eleven years. Beside her husband and three sons she is survived by two sisters, Mrs Martha Collins of Philadelphia and Mrs Sadie Chambers of Wrightsdale, Pennsylvania and four brothers, Charles of Lancaster, Aaron, Robert and Henry of Elam, Pennsylvania. Funeral services will be Monday at the Hotel with burial in the Rehoboth's Epworth Cemetery.

I was wondering if their was anyone who might hold the clues I need to find more information on this THAWLEY family. I have recently gone back to square as I have hit a wall........And learned I may have recorded this family wrong as Thomas was born in Pennsylvania and may or may not be related to the Thawleys in either Delaware or Maryland. Most likely he is but I cannot find the connection.

I cannot find them on the 1850 or 1860 census and I was wondering if anyone has info they have found on a Thawley family in PA during this time. It looks like the name was misspelt in 1880 so it could have been prior.

I know from family records that Albert also had a daughter named Clara in abt 1889 as she married Harry J. Dunfee. Laura married James Ainscow who was from Lancashire, ENG.

Any help would be appreciated as I have exhaused every lead possible.

My GGGrandmother is Hannah Thawley from Wilnecote near Tamworth in Warwickshire. Hannah was born on 21st May 1840 to James Thawley and Mary Ann. Any connection to your tree?

we have communicated before, thomas was not born
in pa, but b orn in maryland, the census listings are
wrong, and he is related to the thawley in del and
maryland. he is my great great grandfather.
he left maryland for the mexican war and then the
civil war, residing in delaware during the interim
