Looking for any information about Foster Thacher who married my husband's grandmother, Doris Thomas. Possibly in Canada (North Bay area maybe) or Detroit area sometime between 1914 and 1922.

Curious to learn if I have any living relatives on my father's side. His name was Charles Simeon Thacher, born in Bonanza CO on 9/5/1885 and grew up in Wichita KS. His father was Charles Bingley Thacher, married to Mary Jane White. He (or his parents) may have been born in Canada, I don't have the date, but he was an officer in the Union Army in the Civil War and I believe he died sometime in the 1920s. The Thachers were of French descent rather than English Thatchers. I am responding to your post because of the similarity in names in our families. My father had 5 sisters. Only the oldest, Bertha, had children, 2 sons. Her husband's name was Sebring, I believe. I am the only child of my parents.
