I am the grandaughter of Robert Tews who came from Germany and settled in Belle Plaine, Wis. He died in 1939. His children were: Leona Tews Schultz; Cordelia Tews Popelka; Charlie Tews; and Olga Rose Tews Kleman. (My mother.) I hopw to find out more detailed information, such as the names of my grandfather's parents. Robert married Ida Krueger. Maybe ther's a tie somewhere. Thanks.

I don't think we are a match, but there is a Max E. Krueger from Berlin WI in our family. Max married Florence Taves (Tews) Florence would have been a first cousin to my Grandma Laura Taves.
Max was born in 1881 and died in 1956. He has a son, Jr. born in 1917.

I don't know if my grandfather had any siblings. Also he died in 1939 and he was probably born sometime between 1860 and 1870. Thank you for your reply . The search continues.

My father grew up in Ripon WI. His grandfather was one of the original people who came here from Germany and settled in WI as a milk man. From my understanding he was one of several boys who all went there separate ways when they got older and lost track of each other. My dad and his mother (age 97) have been working hard a family history and have a lot of information that I am sure we can share. Feel free to email me if you would like some more help exploring the Tews' of this area. I do know that when we read the marriage record in the paper of my great grandfather they listed his name as Taves instead of Tews but he has never actually changed it.
