Wondering if anyone knows about tempy tew. If you go on find a grave.com you can see her resting place and headstone as well as Frederick Manuel. Their son Solomon Leslie Manuel is my great grandfather and his daughter Laura Manuel short was my grandma. She said tempy liked to smoke a corn cob pipe and she sang an Indian song to her about a red bird. Does anybody know what tribe of indians she may be from. I heard the coharie have the name Manuel associated with their tribe.....is this the same Manuel as Frederick? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
