My grandmother's name was Gertrude Edith Tevebaugh. When I was in Germany and spoke with a French officer he said the name probably was Americanized from Tevesbaugh. My grandmother was supposedly born in Wiesbaden, W. Germany. Married Buster Hogan, had 3 daughters and one son.

My father is John Richard Feirrell. Barbara is his sister. He told me that their father's father, also John Richard Feirrell was raised in an orphanage in NY. Do you have any info on this side of the family? I'm at a stand still.

To all of you. I would be happy to send you copies of an explanation of the way our name came into being. Just send me your email addresses first; or I can send it snail mail. Both with and without the "r" are correct, it depends what family line from what region is yours. Also, a cousin and I are putting together genealogies for each of the 5 branches of the Tevebaugh/Teverbaugh family[3 are already done].But, more important, send me your questions. John

Michelle, I think I have an idea of who your ancestors may be, but could you put each one of the names you mentioned into a geographical area. For instance: where did Berenice live; etc. ? What about the John? or the William? Send me any hints you can, and I'll get right back to you. John

Thanks for the reply. Bernice Teverbaugh was my great grandmother. She passed away in Albany or Muncie, Indiana in the SPring of 1922. She was the daughter of Margaret and John Teverbaugh. Bernice's sister is Nellie Teverbaugh St. John. I have no other info on John or Margaret. Bernice is buried in Strong Cemetery, Randolph County, Indiana. Thanks,

Michelle, Thanks for the added info. Yes, I think I can provide you with much of what you want.It would be easier for me to send it to your own email address, if OK with you. Email me at the above addess and give me a list of starter questions. I think I can take her family back to the 1770s. It is an interesting branch of my larger family. John
