We are searching for a David Teubner in or close to Pettis Co. MO. He was supposedly born in Germany, But was in MO by 1862 as he was enlisted in the Union Arym during the Civil War then. He married Elizabeth Jane Beaman 28 Nov 1867.

Any information about David or Elizabeth would be greatly appreciated.

I have information on a Franz Jacob Teubner and wife Matilda. Had one son John and 5 daughters. Rheinburn, Prussia is the birth location given in census records. John was born in Chicago; the girls in St. Louis. Family oral history states there were 2 brothers. One went west to CA. Have not been able to verify any of that story. Only 1 son of Franz so there might have been others family members who came over also.

Robert, Searching for Teubners can be frustrating as there seems to be so few of us. Just an update on my search and maybe some tips for you. In 1860 there were 2 Teubners in MO - Franz Jacob in St. Louis and Charles G. in Gasconade Co. Roark Township. Franz is my direct line. He only had one son. But I did find out that he fought in the Civil War which was a surprise. The LDS site has posted births for Civil, Bonn, Rheiburn, Preussen (Prussia). I was able to find Franz's birth record and that of 7 siblings. However, no David. We have a family story of a "brother" going to CA. However, not sure which generation.

I noticed that you had the Stahlberger surname listed.
Any relatives from the Oneida County area?

I have almost no information on Sophia Augustine Stahlberger. She was born in the Alsace Lorraine area and married John Teubner 1877 in Dallas Co., TX. Her mother was Mary b. 1836 in Strassburg, Germany who died 1895. Where I don't know. Sophia possibly had a sister, Mary, who married a Shepard (spelling?). I have no idea if she immigrated with her parents or came alone. Looking at my notes again I see that I have a picture of "mother's uncle" who was named Lewis Walter. Have not been able to figure this one out yet. Is Walter the last name?

My great grandmother's name was Ameila Stahlberger and she had a son Walter. As far as I know her parents were from Baden and Wurtemburg, Germany. They lived in Oneida County in New York. It looks like 2 different families but I don't know that much either. Most of my research has been on my father's side and I haven't gotten to that side of the family yet.

I am looking for information on my families history. My Grandfather, Fredrick August Teubner (born circa 1925) did a lot of research on my families lineage (including descendance from Charlemagne and a founder of the Shiner brewery). unfortunately much of his research was lost after his passing away. any info on the Teubner name in general or details thereof would be appreciated. other contact @ mattpirtle @hotmail.com
