This couple was my mother's great grandparents. I think they came to the U.S. from Germany, but I don't know from which region. Their daughter, Anna Marie, married Robert E. Timm who emigrated from Berlin sometime around 1870. They settled in the Huron, SD area. Albert & Johanna are buried in the Riverside Cemetery (also known as the Oddfellows Cemetery)in Huron. I'm interested in finding out where in Germany the Teubers lived. Please contact me at my email address. Thank you.

Surnames: Teuber
Sharlene: I am wondering if you have come across any of my Teuber ancestors in your search. My grandfather, Horrace Teuber, was one of at least 8 children born to Carl Adolph (or Adolph Carl) and Anna Teuber. Carl (or Adolph) emigrated from Germany in 1872, married Anna, and settled in North Dakota (Morton County) where my grandfather, Horrace, was born in 1895. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any info about my family. Thanks, Mary

I have a picture of Albert and Johanna taken sometime close to 1900 with my grandmother (Anna Teuber Timm), her husband (Robert Timm) and three mystery people. I'm wondering if two of these people (there are two grown men and one woman) could be your great grandparents. I'll email you a copy if you're interested in seeing it.

Wow; I'd love to see your picture! I don't have any photos of Carl and Anna Teuber, I have seen a photo of their son (my grandfather), Horrace, in a doughboy uniform. Maybe I would be able to see a resemblance, if the people in your picture are in fact related to my grandfather, who would have been about 5 years old at the time of your photo.

Did you find your Teubers' records of passage from Germany? I only have the 1900 and 1920 Census records on mine, so I don't know which ship Carl came over on, where he landed, or if he came with siblings, or not.

I've been poking around at this for a couple of years now, but haven't turned up anything of value yet. What I would really like to know is what became of my grandfather, who disappeared from the scene in 1926. He's kind of a big question mark.

Thanks in advance for sharing your photo, and I hope your search is progressing well!
