Zola E. McKee 100, of 331 E. Union Avenue, McConnelsville, Ohio passed away at 10:34 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the Riverside Country Care Center near McConnelsville. (Morgan County, Ohio)
She was born April 3, 1911 in Noble County, Ohio a daughter of the late Frank and Mary George Teters.
She was a housewife and a member of the Hoskinsville United Methodist Church and also a very active member of the Grace United Methodist Church in McConnelsville.
She first was a member of the Reinersville OES and later a member of the Valley Chapter No. 19 Order of the Eastern Star of McConnelsville.
She taught at the Mary Hammond School and was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Hospital as a gray lady.
She was a 4-H advisor and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and a great cook.
Mrs. McKee is survived by one daughter, Shirley Butler of Duncan Falls Ohio; three sons, Wilbur (Shirley) McKee of Crooksville, Ohio, Glenn (Barb) McKee of McConnelsville, and Kenneth (Helen) McKee of Tucson, AZ; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and eight great-great- grandchildren; and one brother, Roy Teters of Zanesville, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Dayle McKee on Aug. 26, 1994; one daughter, Esther Williams; one son, Jackie McKee; two sons-in-law, Jim Butler and Max Williams; two brothers, John and Doyle Teters; a grandson, Sammy Williams; a great-granddaughter, Lisa Newton; and one sister, Alma Elliott.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, June 14, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.
Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery, Noble County, Ohio.
