My husband has a grandfather Dell D Teter b. March 4, 1886,who is the son of James S. Teter of Scotland County around Memphis,MO. James father's name was Zebidee Teter. Dell disappeared from Missouri around 1920-21 leaving a family of five little boys behind. We know that he died in Ohio in July 1967 but have not found any other information about what he did, who he married, etc. between 1920 and 1967. Any information about a Dell D Teter who may have lived in Higland County or Leesburg, Ohio area would be greatly appreciated.

From what I was told My grandfather's father was from Missouri and then left due to being chased out (maybe gambling debts). He went to Southern California and his brother went to Washington State (but they never spoke again after the move). I was told by my great aunt that there were many Teters in Missouri that we were related to, and since I know only 2 people from that side of my family and it is my own name I thought I'd ask around. Thanks for your reply!

Gary,

Anybody in your family know quite a bit about your family's history? I have just been working with two different people with Teters that moved to the Oregon area. We stirred up a question we are not able to answer.

Jennifer,

How many names of your grand and great grand parents do you know? I would like to see if your family is tied to mine but I will need more information.
