My Great grandmother was Sarah E. Teter Phillips. Her father was Laban Teter and her mother was named Sarah. Could Mary have been sister to Laban. They came from Virginia by covered wagon to McLean County, Illinois. Sarah had a sister named Sina who never married. Erik, Mary Teter was the daughter of Paul Teter and Anna Wood, born abt. 1794. One of her brothers was Isaac, my 3rd great grandfather. The only other infomation that I have on Mary is her marriage date to Richard Kuykendall (I had Kirkendall) which was 24 May 1814. I do have quite a bit on her siblings, most of whom moved to Macon Co., MO in 1838 and I would love to exchange information. Did Mary & Richard have any children? Jackie

Re: Mary Teter Kuykendall
Debbie, I show a Sarah E. Teter, married to Solomon Phillips, as the daughter of Laban Teter and Susan Wimer. They had 9 other children as well as 3 unnamed infants who died in infancy: Malinda, Hulda, Jonathan, Laban C., Samuel P., Benton H., Reuben Dice, Almeda, and Sina. Laban was the son of Jonathan and Elizabeth (Huffman) Teter. Jonathan was the son of Philip and Susannah (Henckel) Teter. I have quite a bit of information and would like to exchange data with you.

I just found your message probably years late. Solomon was my great grandfather. He married Sarah Teter. Their children were as follows. Laban, Elmer, Milton (Smokey), Lillian, Nettie, Irene, William, James. My father was the son of Elmer Phillips and Elsie (Hall) Phillips.

Re: Mary Teter Kuykendall
I'm still here, so it doesn't matter how many years it takes to get a reply, just happy to see one.
The only information I have on Solomon Phillips and Sarah Teter is that they were married...no birth, death or marriage dates, etc. So I would love to exchange info with you even though I descend from a double 2nd cousin of Sarah's as her great grandfather Phillip Teter was brother to my ancestor George and her great grandmother, Susannah Hinkel (Hinkle, Henkle, etc.), was sister to my ancestress, Anna Mary Margaret. Four Teter siblings married 4 Hinkel siblings.

Re: Mary Teter Kuykendall
I have not done research for several years but I do have information on Solomon, Sarah and their children and grandchildren, at least most of their grandchildren. I also have info on Solomon's brothers and sisters. I will dig out my info for I have moved and it is packed away, so it might be awhile. I will send you my own email address so that we might communicate better. Here it is: delainebays@mchsi.com I can't wait to start digging again. By the way, Solomon and his wife and some of his children are buried in the Hopewell cemetery here in Downs and I live in Downs. I can't wait to start digging again. There are several others who do family research also. I will get in touch with them and see if they want to communicate with you also. One cousin is really into it. Debbie Bays delainebays@mchsi.com

Re: Mary Teter Kuykendall
Is there any way I can contact you directly? It is a lot easier than going through the message boards. I have the info you want but it is too much to send via message board. delainebays@mchsi.com Deb Bays

Re: Mary Teter Kuykendall
Just click on my username (fizzbomb) and you'll see my email address. I'm away from home right now and don't have access to my database.
These message boards *used* to be easy to use, but that changed in December. RootsWeb/Ancestry erroneously think making something harder to use is an "upgrade".

Do you know of descendents of Bernard (Berne) Luther Teter who was born in W. Virginia around 1893 and married ___ Early from Virginia. They had two daughters who lived inthe Philadelphia suburbs at one time.
Thanks!
