How nice to hear from you. I'm assuming you are in Tipton County, I'm here in Kokomo. I have always wanted to make contact with the family but didn't know how to go about it. Let me explain who I am, my grandmother was Carneta Teter Heavilin, the daughter of Pearl May Roe Oral Verne Teter. My family has always been curious about the Teter's but never pursued the family history. When my grandmother died in 1984, I found out some of her history, she never knew her father. This year through some research in Tipton, I discovered Pearl Oral were never married, and Oral left town sometime shortly before or after the birth of Carneta.
I have been able to piece together some of the family through the cemetery, obituaries, and I have Professor Kellogg's book. It sounds like you have a wonderful family with a great history in Tipton County. I am also researching to the Mahaffey's, Bitner's and Roe's in Tipton County.
