Classification: Query
Surnames: TESSIER, de LONGPRE
David Tessier de Villauchamps.

Family tradition as it was known before 1900.

This above was provided to my grandmother Rogerson, nee
Kathryn Tessier, by Isabelle de Laurencin Beaufort of Provence who's grandmother was Eulalie Tessier.

Why was France occupying Louisiana in 1769. Can anyone
direct me to reference to de Longpre and his group?

Is there a known connection to the Tessiers of Canada?
Did the de Longpre occupiers depart from Canada?

I would very much appreciate any clues that might be offered as to how to understand more than family understandings provide.

Many thanks for your patience in reading this.

Sincerely -

Peter Parrish in Richmond, Virginia
