Did Anna M have a son named Arnold ? My mother Janaan is the granddaughter of Louise's brother Frederick Trosien. If we match up. I just spoke to my mother, she told me that her mother Ellen and dad Harold Trosien lived on 30th street in Detroit when first married and relatives did live on 31st Street in Detroit, MI also.

This is how we go:

Frederick & Louise Trosien
children: Harold, Ema, Clara, Edward (2 more)
Harold married Ellen Schulkoske (spelling might be wrong)
children: Kenneth and Janaan

My mom says she remembers her grandpa Frederick having a sister named Louise who had a child they called Annie or Anna, she barely remembers a Tillie or Paul but does know that Annie or Anna had a son Arnold, whom I remember when I was a little girl. Please email me so we can chat more, thsi is neat. My mother's middle name is Louise after her grandma (Frederick's wife) and my middle name is Louise also, passed down!

Hi Connie,

I don't know - the only name I recognize is Fredrick. My grandfather Herman had a brother named Fredrick W., but I don't know his middle name. He was born in April 1887 in Michigan, probably Detroit.

Does that fit with anything you have? Did your great grandfather have a brother named Herman? Their parents were August and Minnie.

What do you think?

I've asked my mother and she is checking, she says all the names sound so familiar. My Uncle (Erin's dad) is also going to send me over some information. The only thing is he told me its Freidrich (free-drick) not the American name Fredrick. As soon as my uncle sends me the family info I can tell you for certain a birthdate and all. I know Freidrich was married to Louise and these are my mother's grandparents. They had children Clara, Edward, Emma, Harold and I think 2 more. I'll will let you know as soon as I hear from my mom or Unlce. Thanks for replying so fast. Connie

Hello: My great grandmother is Emma Trosien. Emma Trosien-Walters that lived in Detroit, MI. She married Leo Walters and had four (4) daughters: Ina, Phyllis, Mildred (aka "Honey") and Irene. Irene Walters-McIvor is my grandmother.

Emma Trosien-Walters is listed on my grandmother's birth certificate as mother. She was 26 yrs in 1915 and gave birth in home located on 1346 Scotten Ave., Detroit. Which would put Emma's birth year 1889. It states Emma is born in Detroit.

Ema Trosien-Walters lived on Da Costa Street in Detroit later in life. It was said Ema passed around 1950 and had German roots.

We have also found another document in different language and with date 1889. Having it translated.

Any connecting information would be greatly appreciated. Would love to know more about this side of family, as nothing more is known.

Thank you,
A.Godfrey

I had an uncle Freddie Gnodtke who had a Freddie, but married Dora Teschke. My grandma was Elsie and she and her brother Robert Teschke. Does this help? LuAnn Nelson
