Howard Tesch (wife: Adalia Tank) is my grandmother's brother. I now know that Frank Tesch and Bertha Walworth (my great-grandparents), had a total of 8 children (Marie, Viola, Lydia, Eva, Walter, Howard, Irene, and Charles "Charlie"). Marie married Theodore Scherwinski, Viola to Bortz, Lydia to Drott, Eva to Schultz, Walter marries a Virginia whose last name is unknown, Irene to Edward Carl Hamman, and I don't know who Charles married). Frank's parents were Albert Tesch and Veronica Lindeman (also spelled Lindman, Lindemann, and Veronika Lindermann) who are already married before entering the U.S. from Germany (aka Prussia). They enter separately however. Albert comes alone on board the ship Albingia through Castle Garden on 4/12/1882 and Veronica and the kids (Mathilda, Ernst, Franz, Elise, and Emil) arrive 8/31/1882 on board the ship Suevia through Castle Garden. Albert's occupation is listed as a Mason. And in the 1900 census for Cook Co. Illinois he is listed as a Bricklayer living with wife Veronica and kids Lizzie, Emil, and Ernst. Frank marries Bertha in McHenry, Illinois on 6/3/1901 (Tesch is misspelled as "Tesck" and Walworth is misspelled as "Wallworth") parents are listed as witnesses. I believe it to be correct that Frank's sibling Ernst/Ernest marries Celia Breese in Chicago, she was born in Kentucky, related to Louis and Irene Breese per 1940 census. What I don't understand are the following things: Did Elise/Lizzie marry a George Bilske, George Heberer, or an Edward Lackner? Did Mathilda marry a Charles Buggs? Who does Emil marry? Why was Bertha Walworth working for the Omar Wright family in 1900 in Marengo City, McHenry Illinois? and Who are the other children that Veronica gives birth to here in the U.S.? Bertha Walworth's parents are Henry Walworth and Doris/Dora/Theodora Kirting/Koerting
