TESAR from Chelcice/Kraslovice near Vodnany CR
I've recently discovered my gr grandparents Frantisek BILEK and Katerina TESAR were married August 5, 1867 in the Czech villiage of Chelcice near Vodnany. Katerina was born c. 1831 to Josef TESAR of Chelcice and Marie FILIP or JONAT of Kraslovice. A brother might have been Frantisek (wife named Terezie).
Please reply with any Tesar data that might be relevant.
Thank you. Judie Mason

Re: Frank and Terezie Tesar
I recently found a marriage record at St. Wenceslaus in Omaha where the bride was the daughter of Francis and Teresia (Cerny) Tesar. Date of wedding was April 23, 1893.

Re: TESAR duplicate names
Doesn't it just make your head swim when you run into all these similarities? My mother once said "Oh that's Frank A Sramek, not Frank C" and I irreverantly wondered what happend to A and B, sure enough, there were at least 2 more, and they had the foresight to give them different middle intials.
So I guess my St. Wenceslaus Tesar couple isn't yours.

Re: TESAR duplicate names
I think we may have visited before? My Tesar family came from Tavikovice, Moravia and I am trying to find if I have any relatives still there who may be descendants of siblings of my grandparents. I actually have found Tesars there through the Mayor.. If you aren't already on, I suggest Czechoslovakia Genealogy Research on FaceBook. I have been helped immensely!! All free translating. You will see several of my FB inquiries and all answered there.
