Re: Tesar Family in New York City
I just received an email from Frank Tesar's granddaughter, Ann. I've been trying to connect this Tesar family to mine in Chicago. The only child I have of Frank's, so far, is Walter Tesar, Ann's father. Anyting you can add to this would be helpful since Walter wasn't very forthcoming about his family (he died in California in 1985).
You can see my Tesars in my database at RootsWeb (rzidlicky).
Thanks,

Re: Tesar Family in New York City
My greatgrandfather Tesar came to Chicago from Bohemia in the late 1800's then moved to nebraska. Does this have any connection

Re: Tesar Family in New York City
Very possible. If you will provide names and dates, we can pin it down. I have several Tesar lines in my database at WorldConnect on RootsWeb. I've been trying to connect them. The more people we have working on this, the more likely we'll find the connection.

Re: Tesar Family in New York City
It is possible. Who are your Tesar relatives? I have connected to Tesar's in Chicago, and Wisconsin. I will be happy to exchange information.

Re: Tesar Family in New York City
As far as I know my grandmother Marie (Tesar) Goad was born in Chicago . Her parents i believe were Josef and Augustine Tesar. He was in a Lt. in the army before he moved to the U.S. While he was in Chicago he was a tailor. My grandmothers birthdate is confusing because her birth certificate was lost in the Chicago fire, so I'm told. They must have moved to Nebraska somewere between 1920-1925, because my grandparents were married in 1925. She had brothers and sisters, all I can remember are Frank, and Alma. Both stayed in S.W. Nebraska all there life. I'll try to get more info out of my relatives.
