The Rev. Irving Tepas served St. Pauls Evangelical and Reformed Church in Erie PA 1940-1950. While he was ther a new parsonage was purchased at 523 Vermont Avenue. Also, the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the church took place. The church still stands there at 1020 Peach Street and has changed names again to St. Pauls United Church of Christ. Hope this little information helps someone somewhere along their path.

Thanks so much. Irving is my Great Uncle. I knew he was a Reverend like his father Bernard (my grandfather) but I didn't have any real specifics.

It is always so nice when you feel like your meager efforts were appreciated if only by one person. Although I was quite young, in 1948 thru 1951, I remember Rev. Tepas when I would be in the church as part of the children's choir. Don't think anyone ever would fall asleep during one of his sermons, nor did they need a hearing aid. If you would like, I could scan and send (or snail mail) a copy of the page he appears on, his picture is there, as well as a picture of the church. It is taken from the 1976 (125th anniversary) of a church booklet publication that was handed out. My email is thumbscat8@aol.com if you wish to have me email or snail mail this to you.
