I have written a book about the Teichrob family, tracing its roots through Russia - villages of Reinfeld Sagradowka, Landskrone, Molotschna. I am trying to find the connection to Prussia - probably through Chortiza ( Schoenhorst) and Molotschna(Blumstein). Have you any records for Teichkrew (Teichgref) Teichgroeb or similar names? Can you connect it to the Dueckgrew name found in Krebsfelde (Prussia) census of 1776? Do you know of anyone having done a Book (Geneology) for the Teichrob family?

I have some information on the Teichgrew-gref-graaf-krew etc. family. Also, I have written a book about my branch of the family. I would like to talk to anyone doimg research on this name, especially before 1800 while most of them were in Prussia. There was a Johann born in 1745, a Michael born in 1740 and a Peter born in 1751.
Do you have information about this family in west Prussia?

Hi! My name is Phil Teichroew. My brother, Dennis, and I are trying to trace our roots. Our grandfather, Henry Teichroew came from Russia in the early 1900's and settled in Minnesota before moving to the Lustre com-munity in Montana. Changed his name from Teichroeb. I would be very interested in any further info and maybe getting a copy of your book(s). Try my email above or pateichroew@yahoo.com

Hi. I am looking for ancestors of my father's family. His name was Samuel Blumstein and his parents came from Russia. So far I think that the name is the name of a town in Russia called Molotschna, maybe we are linked somehow. His mother's maiden name was Molder. He was born March 5, 1917 in Philadelphia, PA.
Thanks.
Jeanne Blumstein

Surnames: Blumstein.
Hello,

I know that in my family tree there is the Blumstein name. This is in Alsace, province France (or Germany) depending on how far back you go.

My ancestors are mostly Catholic. But I think this must be a Jewish name, which fascinates me. Is Blumstein a Jewish name?

Just found the exchange of e-mails on the Teichroew family and am wondering if there are sources showing them in Poland/Prussia.
Also, we are interested in the book by Henry Teichrob.
