hi jan, I have found a james teahan who came to Australia in 1854 with his wife Bridget nee Burns and their daughters Bridget b 1842 and Catherine b 1845 from a town called Dungarvan in County Kilkenny civil parish of Gowran. The ship was ther Columbia and they had no relatives already in Aust. There is no mention of Patrick. James and Bridget and the two girls are buried in St. Patricks cemetry at Parramatta. James was born in 1800 and died 21/12/1884 aged 84. Bridget was b 1822. Does this fit in with anything you have, Is it possible that James was married before and Patrick was from this union. Interesting thought. Hope to hear from you soon jan

Hi there Jan,
Sorry I haven't responded, I have been slack in checking emails the last week or so.....
Uncle Ray (Raymond Palmer) was rushed to hospital last week with pneumonia/emphysema, we were told he wouldn't last the night....he did. The priest was giving him his last rights one night...... the next he's sitting up in bed having a beer & watching neighbours (& complaining about the crap they put on TV these days, at the same time mind you). We have been told it's no long however, my sister is a nurse at the hospital so she is ensuring he gets the very best of care.
My mind is a little scattered at the moment but I will have look through my paper work over the weekend & come back to you.
Love to all, Jane

Re: James & Bridget Teahan and family (Looking for a Jeremiah)
I don't know if this is still active?...this post just came up through Google when I was looking for information about Bridget Teahan. I may be able to help you with your enquiry about Jeremiah.

Hi Jan I've just come across this board and is not directly related to your enquiries which I'm finding most interesting. I'm your cousin Carol Green (nee Scott) and have been researching family history for many, many years. So nice to hear of you and your family whom I remember most clearly when you lived in Montague St and we lived in Theodore St. Let me know if you'd like to make further contact. Carol
